Casing Buoyancy Systems (CBS) are used on a regular basis to drill longer lateral sections. These systems work by trapping atmospheric pressure in the lower section of the casing between the float shoe and the CBS (usually landed in the heel section) creating a pocket of entrapped air that helps increase the buoyancy of the casing while floating it to TD.
CCAI has a wide range of customizable options with varied ranges of shear pressures and burst disk pressures to work with all your operations.
