HI-TECH TOP DRIVE CEMENTING HEAD

The HTDCH Cementing System has been developed as a second generation of the conventional and highly reliable Top Drive Surface Cementing Equipment. It includes all the standard HTDCH surface cementing components in a unitized assembly.
The tool joint connections between the components have been eliminated, shortening the overall length significantly and reducing rig time required to make up the surface cementing assembly.

CASING CEMENTING HEAD

Cosmos cementing Head is used for cementing the annular space between casing and bore hale during 2nd stage of well construction cycle. The cementing head is employed to connect the pumps of the cementing trucks to the casing string and provides access for insertion of the cementing plugs.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

    Cosmos Cementing Head is suitable to carry out single stage as well as double stage cementing operation. It is provided with the following features:

  • Simple in operation and provides easy loading of plugs.
  • having manifold with lo-torque plug valve.
  • Provides continuous operation.
  • The plug container holds one or two plugs, the top plug and the bottom plug. The double plug container has a three in-torque valve manifold and two plunger assembly.
  • The length of plug containers are made to accommodate the standard length of plugs.
  • The cap is available with ACME thread and with lifting chain for lifting the plug container.
  • Adapters are available with all casing threads and buttress threads.
  • The standard adapters have a 6-inch Tong space with thread protectors.

CONVENTIONAL CEMENTING MANIFOLD

The Cosmos Model WC-CEMF is designed for use with conventional land based drilling and service rigs, as well as with offshore rigs not equipped with a top drive or using a conventional manifold. The cementing Manifold retains the pump down plug in a position in which the plug can be released after the cementing operations are completed. It also suspends the drill pipe weight from the elevators and connects the cementing lines to the running string during liner cementing operations. The heavy duty design and construction of this assembly easily handles the tensile loads seen in deep drilling liner applications with sufficient capacity to handle any problems like stuck pipe that could occur while running a liner assembly.
